Abstract painting is my channel for embracing imperfection. Once I’m in the process, color is everywhere, and everything around me turns into a huge mess. However, in my mind, every dirty brush, palette knife, or splash of color on the floor has its place in my process. I call this organized chaos. In this state, anything is possible and nothing is foreseeable.

In my everyday life, I always have goals in mind, especially contributing to a sustainable social development. The painting process allows me to escape this turbulent and challenging world now and then. Perhaps worries, moral values, or activist thoughts still sneak into my paintings. Or maybe not, and I simply let myself be guided by color compositions and playful randomness.

Creative journey

My love of art began at the same time as my ability to walk. At Montessori primary school, creativity was an important part of my education, which really encouraged my creative potential. Later, at a boarding school in England, I got to know a variety of techniques and life drawing as well as portrait drawing became my specialities.

About ten years ago, I shifted from figurative to abstract painting. This step allowed me to concentrate on enjoying the process rather than striving for a specific result. Today I mainly work on medium to large canvases, which gives me the freedom to dive deep into my creative flow and explore the limitless possibilities of abstract art.
